Competency self-assessments consistent with Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO) assessments have now been added to Board 360, CU Training’s credit union board training application. Reports have also been added that provide individual directors with a summary of their assessment scores, and administrators with an aggregated view of the entire board’s scores, illustrating their effectiveness across key governance areas, and providing insight into board competencies.

These self-assessments are specifically for use by Ontario credit unions, and include:

  • Financial Literacy
  • Governance and Ethics
  • Leadership and Communication
  • Regulatory Environment
  • Risk Management
  • Strategic Planning
